Removing the airbox

Remove the fuel tank	L 2, Removing the fuel tank

Loosen oil cooler (B) retaining screws (A) to horizontal head and remove the oil cooler, leaving tubes connected.

Loosen the clamp (7) and remove the tube (6) from the valve (13).

Disconnect cables (C) of horizontal head coil (D) and of vertical head coil (E) from spark plugs end. Disconnect main wiring harness connectors (F) from coils.

Loosen the front screw (11), remove the spacer (10) and rubber block (9).

Remove the stud bolts (8) from rubber blocks (9) on frame.

Loosen clamps (L) from intake manifolds (G).

Remove the hose (H) from the pressure pick-up point (12).

Raise the airbox (2) together with coils and cables.

Disassembling the airbox

Disconnect the airbox drain hose (1).

Loosen pressure pickup (12).

Unscrew the stud bolts (8).

Reassembling the airbox

Please refer to Sect. M 3, Coil for the description of the reassembly procedure of coils (D) and (E) to airbox. Start the two stud bolts (8) in their holes on the air box (2) and tighten them to the specified torque (Sect. C 3, Frame torque settings). Apply the specified threadlocker to the pressure pickup thread (12) and tighten to the specified torque (Sect. C 3, Frame torque settings).

Insert the drain hose (1) into the air box (2).
